Liberation

This word has been ringing in my spirit for about a week now. Liberation! God wants freedom for His people. There is an oppression over so many people in these times. Anxiety, worry, fear, doubt and so many other downcast of emotions are prevalent. Although these emotions can be a normal part of one’s life, it is all a doorway for oppression and depression. These things, oppression and depression, we know are not from the Lord, but from the one who comes to destroy. The one seeks to tear down and take away your peace and your righteousness.

Be alert and sober minded. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion (roaring lions are ready to attack) looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

When we get into these places of oppression and depression, it can be so hard to come out of. Its like a fog or covering that smothers our thoughts and actions. We get to the point where we cannot focus and become irritable. It’s a veil of a sort of darkness that can cause us to be in a state of being bound in the spirit. My God, can you picture him trying to pull this blanket over your head so that you cannot see. He is literally smothering people under this blanket, and they are suffocating.

See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness over the peoples, Isaiah 60:2

There is a God who is here to set us free. We are renewed and liberated in Christ. In this next scripture, it talks about how there is a veil covering of living under the law of the old testament, a veil of condemnation. Do you know that the same God who is able to bring righteousness to a state of condemnation, is able to bring liberation to the veil of darkness that tries to oppress and depress?

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:16-17

One of the things that I am so grateful that God has taught me is how to break the state of the enemy’s oppression. If you are reading this today, and it hits home with what has been going on in your life, what I want you to do today is be liberated in Christ.

At any moment when I have felt the veil of darkness attempting to cover my being, I have been able to escape by the word of the Lord. This is a spiritual battle, that’s why you feel it in your gut first and then I manifest into your physical wellbeing. I think this has become one of my favorites versus.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4

Listen, God already knew what was up. He already knew the tricks and schemes of the enemy. He left us a manual of how to handle these things. You are not without help, you are not without power, but you must turn, seek, and ask.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

This is where we start on this path of liberation, James 4:7. Gather you some scriptures to memorize so that you can use them as a knife to cut through the veil of darkness that the enemy uses to try and cover you.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrew 4:12

I would love to give you specific scriptures if you feel you need help. You can email me at ourdearheavenlyfather@outlook.com. I suggest reading my post ‘Shut Up’. Please know that I am praying for you!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you in this moment that you are mighty and loving. Thank you Lord that under your covering, no weapon that the enemy forges against us shall prosper. Lord we seek asylum in you because we know that in you there is light to shine on our darkest days and love to comfort us in our hardest moments. Let your word reside in our heart so that we may use it as our weapon of warfare when the enemy tries to darken are lives. Let us stand strong in what you have declared. We pray for the strength, heart and mind for those who do not know you. Let your light be their veil. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen!
