Good leadership should always include humble reflection.
We make mistakes. We don’t have all the answers. Sometimes we do not even resemble a leader. This does not mean that God has not called you to lead. It simply is a reminder that work and growth are sn essential part of leading.
At the end of the day, week, and month, sit down with God and do some self reflecting. This goes for marriage, business, parents, ministry, etc.
Here are a few sample questions to ask
💎What could you have done different to achieve a more desired outcome?
💎Why did I respond the way I did? (This question is about revelation and healing as well) What are my triggers?
💎Do I owe an apology?
Ok! I know that last one had some people shaking their head vigorously lol. I get. The old me ain’t doing dat….not taday 🤣 #petty
Here is the shift though…
And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Colossians 3:10
Remember the term “humble reflection”. It takes humility to admit that you were wrong or that a situation could have been handled differently.
As a leader, you have the ability to bring the peace of God into an atmosphere. You have the influence to encourage others to walk upright. Truth is leaders make leaders simply by what they exemplify and how others image them. Do you show Christ in your responses and actions? Will you take a moment’s to humbly reflect what you’ve been imaging?
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
