Rejoice In Conviction

As I was preparing for bed one night my spirit felt uneasy. It was honestly uneasy for the past 5 hours or so. There were such an arrange of different feelings and recognizing them as downcast emotions I began to ask the Lord to heal me of the things that keep me from being in His presence.

I wanted God to show me the things about myself that make me shift into these out of order mindsets. Well…. Be careful what you ask for.

With so much love and grace, God began to convict my heart and show me, me. And after just a moment, Holy Spirit said REJOICE IN THE CONVICTION BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT THE FATHER STILL CARES.

When God convicts your heart, it means that Jesus still desires your heart, mind, body, and spirit.

As a parent, one thing that I do not love doing, but feel it necessary, is letting my kids know when and how they were wrong. I don’t like it because sometimes it makes them feel bad. Although it is never my desire for them to feel bad, I know that if I do not alert them to the behavior, they will not be diligent in correcting the actions needed to grow and do better. It is something that a parent must do to ensure that our children are set up to succeed and thrive in the real world.

God is ABBA Father! When we seek to be closer to Him, to soak in His presence, It allows Him to show us the behaviors and actions in ourselves, that possibly stop us from succeeding and thriving. I heard someone say

The closer you get to God, the more you see yourself. the more you can see who you are and what is inside your heart!

God convicts us to show us that something is out of alignment. He convicts us because He cares to see us succeed in the plan that He has for us. He convicts us because He is love. He convicts us because He is righteousness. In everything that He is, He has called us to be. The closer we get to Him the more we see a reflection of who we should be. #imagebeariers

Take joy in knowing that God is showing you who He created you to be, and because He cares so much for you and I, He is willing to have those tough conversations with us in order to show us where we have veered off course.

It may hurt. Say ouch, and move accordingly. His presence in the best place to be and in His presence we authentically get to be the fearfully made child of God that He intended for us to be!

Rejoice in His conviction because it is a part of Gods love for you!
